Hotel Taurus is situated in the centre of the city right in the METRO underground station, just a few minutes from the Wenceslas Square, the National Museum and the Old Town, in the superb quarter of Royal Vinohrady.
The building of hotel Taurus originates from the end of 19th and the beginning of the 20th century and the interior of most of the rooms also corresponds to this period as these are equipped with some antique furniture of that time. The rest of the spacious rooms are furnished in a comfortable modern style. In most of the rooms you can find some tasteful decoration including pictures depicting important historical monuments of Prague.

In immediate proximity of the hotel at Jiřího z Poděbrad Square there is a monumental Roman Catholic Church of the Most Sacred Heart of Our Lord by a famous Slovenian architect Josip Plečnik built in the 30ies of the last century. Every weekend in the area in front of the church there are farmers markets held that offer the best products from different parts of Czech republic.
